Still Life or Wild Sea?
Both photos have been taken in the last two weeks. One during a Camera Club meeting, the other at the beach in St.Finians Bay, County Kerry. I live here, I teach photography and I like what I´m doing. The aspects and options in photography are endless. You will find out what you like about it. What counts is the image, not the fancy camera on your tripod. Believe in yourself and not in Photoshop. You will discover an amazing world. Michael Herrmann 2013

Photowalk at Lough Currane
The current calm weather is perfect for a walk along our lakes and rivers in Kerry. You will see amazing reflections of places that are usually swept with a breeze or strong wind. The tripod can even stand in the water and a polarizer filter will allow you to control reflections. The photos above were taken at Waterville Lake or Lough Currane. The lake is famous for salmon and trout fishing and produces specimen fish every year.Fishing in Ireland

Light, Shape and Photography
The photos below were taken on a rather remote beach near Ballinskelligs. I used a Canon 5dmkII and two lenses, a 50mm macro and Canon 40mm pancake lens. Most photos were taken with a tripod. I used the mirror lock option.
All shots were done with ISO 100 and the Aperture was between 10 and 32.
The light was very intense but beautiful and it was just a bliss to be out.
Due to the strong sunlight and the low tide I noticed all kind of reflections and shapes.
I did not use any filter or other enhancement equipment.
In Lightroom, the photos were sharpened only and the watermark was added.
