I did this wonderful boat trip from St.Finians bay pier with Willie Kennedy and his big rib. My family and friends came as well and my two grandsons enjoyed her first time being a skipper on the wheel.
Great scenery around Ballinskelligs and Portmagee and the bonus was that we saw dolphins, puffins and some seals resting on the rocks.
If you are interested in a trip contact Willie at 0872229787.

Here is a selection of photos that Chris from Berlin took when he came for a short visit to South Kerry. On our first two walks I did not bring any camera, but he took some nice shots that I´m happy to share with you.
We walked the Bolus Barracks Loop in Ballinskelligs and Cnoc na dTobar near Cahersiveen. You find some more photos from our other walks on my German blog here

Workshop Church Island, Waterville Lake

After a couple days of strong downpoor the morning cleared and we went to Lough Currane or Waterville Lake for the workshop on Church Island. Paddy Bushe came with us and gave us again very valuable information about the history of the monastery and Finion´s cell. The day was just perfect and we were all happy about the light and the warm day.  A big thanks to Neill O`Shea for the ferryservice to the island. November weather in Kerry can be very unsettled, we were all lucky today.

To finish the day, I went for a walk to St.Finians Bay in the Glen and was rewarded with a great evening of amazing light. My dog was happy too and went for a dip in the sea.
