Ceret in early September
The days got shorter but we still enjoyed the warmth of Pyrenees Orientales, the market village of Ceret with its huge shady sycamore trees, the now almost empty beaches of Argeles and the picturesque tiny villages near Mount Canigou.
I only had my Lumix with me (and some basic painting gear for watercolours) and a lot of the time I took images of wall and door details; of structure, colour and shadows I found in the narrow alleyways in the old part of Ceret.
And people of course, who seemed relaxed and indeed are blessed with a lovely climate and at this time of the year with the rich harvest of vegetables, fruit and grapes for winemaking.
