South West Ireland is a real heaven for landscape photographer and people who like to walk. I love both and it is a great combination. Everywhere you go between Kenmare, Killarney and Valentia Island you find mountain, lakes, woods and the coast is never to far away.
The photos of this post have been all taken in the past week. To be so close to nature and surrounded by such abundance of beauty is a privilege and joy. You are getting a feeling of the circle of life, the rules of the weather and your own limits. You feel the fresh air, you take the scenery in, the sun is warming your skin, you feel good coming home.
The majority of photos were taken with the camera and tripod. 40,50 and 70-200mm lens was used on a Canon 5dmkII. The mountain photos are all 50mm.
Most photos were intended to be black and white photographs. Therefore the camera was set to monochrome mode, though still all shots in RAW format. Editing and watermark in Lightroom 5.
